Coach Hire & Bus Rentals For Every Occassion
The capital city of Croatia, Zagreb is home to 800,000 people, with almost 1,200,000 living in the wider metropolitan area.
Its charismatic medieval old city and vibrant atmosphere help to attract almost three-quarters of a million tourists each year, which mainly come from Austria, Germany and Italy to enjoy all the city has to offer.
From architecture to the arts, music and food to culture and lively nightlife; there’s always something going on in this exciting city.
It’s a perfect place to take a stroll through picturesque streets, to drink coffee in quaint or modern cafes and to take in some culture in its many museums, galleries, theatres and cinemas.
As Zagreb International Airport is located approximately 17 kilometres from the city centre, one of the easiest ways to get to your accommodation is by hopping on one of our fast Zagreb airport shuttle buses.

The city of Zagreb is divided into Gornji grad (Upper Town) and Donji grad (Lower Town). This is where you’ll find the majority of tourist sites, together with a plethora of restaurants and bars.
The Upper Town is an old medieval centre and was originally the two separate towns of Kaptol and Gradec. Here you’ll discover Old Town Gate, which is now a shrine to the virgin Mary, and the cathedral which dates back thousands of years.
Perhaps one of the most interesting museums in Zagreb is the Museum of Broken Relationships, which has a permanent exhibition of mementoes left behind after a relationship ends. Each exhibit room is white and there’s also a cosy café that hosts jazz nights during summer and autumn months.
The Museum of Contemporary Arts is housed in a 17,000 square metre building that was designed by a local architect and contains works from both Croatian and international artists. It also hosts films, theatre, concerts and a variety of performance arts.
Lotrščak Tower was built in the 13th century as protection for the southern city gate. Now you can climb to the top of its tower for a fantastic 360-degree view of Zagreb. The funicular railway that connects both Lower and Upper Towns is also close by.
Medvedgrad is a medieval fortress located just above the city. Built between 1249 and 1254, it’s the city’s most significant medieval monument, and hosts a variety of musical evenings throughout July.
While a visit to a cemetery may be the last thing on your mind during a city break, you should make time to see Mirogoj. Located at the base of Mount Medvednica and just ten minutes by minibus from the city centre, you’ll find this beautiful cemetery that was designed by an Austrian-born architect and opened in 1876.
It’s one of the world’s most impressive cemeteries due to its imposing arcades, and contains the tombs of notable personalities from Croatia.
